Transcendental Meditation

Maharishi Mahesh Yogi founded his world-wide movement in Madras, India in 1957. His purpose was to spread a simple and profound message: the basis of life is unbounded bliss and every individual can experience it without effort.

To this end, Maharishi began teaching a mental technique that became known as Transcendental Meditation. In the following years and decades, he travelled to almost every country in the world to spread his message. By the late 1990s, there were 40,000 teachers of Transcendental Meditation. They have taught the technique, the World's most widely practised program of self-development, to 5 million people.

One hundred thousand of these meditators have learned the TM-Sidhi Program, an advanced technique which includes both meditation and yogic flying.
